Recently opened Jo's Steakhouse is located on the waterfront by Charter boats at Simpson Bay Lagoon, next to the Funtime Charter Office and very close to the Princes Juliana International Airport, enjoying a very nice view across the Marina with fabulous boats and the hills behind.
The menu has plenty of choices. To start with, you can choose from six different salads, four soups or another four appetizers. For the main course you have a great deal of options: pasta, fish and of course meat, cooked to perfection by our famous Chef Pascal Chemin.
There is an array of sauces from wich you can select, consisting of red wine, bearnaise, blue cheese, green pepper, mushrooms and mustard. Between the garnishes you could decide on fresh French fries, baked potato with sour cream, mashed potatoes and vegetable rice.
Fabulous food, relaxed comfort and friendly, dedicated, staff and the owner Jean Pierre Besingue guarantee an unforgettable dining experience
Prior to arriving in St. Maarten, our chef Pascal Chemin has been an exclusive VIP party caterer in Saint Tropez on the French Riviera.

Steakhouse...Nay Nay
A last lunch on St.Martin for six friends before flying back to reality was wasted at Jo's Steakhouse, the 1st clue should have been there were more fly's than customers. Hamburgers woefully undercooked, unfrozen supposed frozen drinks and having to wait longer to place the order than to recieve it. The view is not a view, the food is terribly overpriced and a waitress that left us feeling as tho we were rushing her to correctly add up the bills is something that needs to be corrected by the owner. What a shame !

I would recomend JO's steak house
I started using JO’S steakhouse for the second stop on my lagoon pub crawl from the beginning of July. I am happy to say it has been a very successful change. The people on the pub crawl have comments like, Fantastic, Superb food, Great atmosphere. Good location. I have to agree.
We start with a California roll ,seaweed salad ,pickled ginger , wasabi and soy sauce. This is all beautifully presented on a triangular plate. The presentation is really good. Just when you think this is a hard act to follow, JO comes up with a spectacular Bourride de Saint Tropez - traditional French soup, made with different types of fish, sea scallops, shrimps and mussels. It does not stop there, there is a special way to eat the soup. Baguettes are slices and toasted, a special very light mustard, grated cheese and fresh garlic accompany the soup. You take the toasted baguette rub the garlic on, spread the mustard and sprinkle the grated cheese ( are you hungry all ready) you then dip this into the soup and enjoy a new dining experience.
I have had a good look at there regular menu, it is realy good.
I have friends coming next week that have asked what new restaurant can I recommend for our Saturday night dinner. Guess where?

Excellent Food
This being a steakhouse, let's talk beef, which exceeded my highest expectations. This is mainstream meat...truly top of the line, prime No.1 The Tuna Steak , dark, translucent, moist with pure meaty flavor like sushi tuna. The high quality for high dollar will carry it long after the novelty has worn off. I had a very nice evening and I will come back on my next trip to St. Martin

Deceitful
We travel to St. Martin every year and have tried many, many restaurants and Joe's was the absolute worst in every way. It is NOT a steakhouse. The menu is extremely over priced, the sevice is non existant and the view is not that great. The night we were there it was not busy, only 1 other couple in the restaurant. After looking over the menu we reluctantly placed our order. We took the water taxi to the restaurant so we could not easily jump in our car and leave or we would have. Our waiter placed our over priced food down and that was the last we saw of the snooty french man. I had to get up and track him down to get another drink and a glass of water. I believe they call it a steak house to entice Americans in who are expecting a great steak. It is a bad french restaurant in disguise. My husband and I will be really surprised if they are still in business in 2009 when we return to St. Martin. Maybe the new owner will actually open a real steak house!
